ISKCON Govardhan EcoVillage Retreat 2

A Journey in Harmony with Nature
Rooted in the essence of Prakriti Pravah—the effortless flow of nature—this retreat at Govardhan
Ecovillage was a deep dive into yoga, naturopathy, and spiritual wisdom. The experience began with Yoga
Nidra by Shilpa Damle, allowing participants to sink into deep relaxation, followed by a Goshala visit
and Ecovillage tour, fostering a connection with sustainability and nature’s abundant flow.
Ekadashi: A Day of Spiritual Elevation
Coincidentally, the retreat fell on the auspicious occasion of Ekadashi, a day dedicated to Lord Krishna
and spiritual purification. Ekadashi is observed as a time for detoxifying the body and mind, practicing
self-discipline, and deepening devotion. This alignment amplified the retreat’s spiritual essence,
encouraging participants to absorb the sacred vibrations of the day with kirtans, aartis, and Bhagavad
Gita wisdom sessions.
Wisdom, Healing & Detox
A profound talk by Nilmai Lila Prabhu set the tone for inner reflection, seamlessly flowing into an
immersive sound healing session, calming the mind and senses. The Mud Bath and Naturopathy session by
Ruby Prakash served as a physical detox, reinforcing the importance of cleansing and renewal, much like
the spiritual essence of Ekadashi itself.
Focus, Reflection & Connection
As dusk settled, the retreat deepened with aartis, kirtans, and darshans, immersing everyone in
devotion. The Three-Step Tratak practice by Shailesh Patil sharpened focus, offering a meditative
gateway to inner clarity. The night concluded with bonding exercises, journaling, and self-reflection,
reinforcing the theme of flowing with awareness.
Purification & Renewal
The morning began with Mangal Aarti and Yagnya, elevating energy and devotion. A yoga session with Neti
and eye cup cleansing focused on purification practices that enhance clarity and well-being. The
Bhagavad Gita talk and Sankalp workshop encouraged self-exploration, while team activities strengthened
unity and shared purpose.
Flowing Forward with Purpose
The retreat concluded with gratitude, reflections, and a renewed sense of spiritual alignment.
Ekadashi’s sacred energy added depth to the experience, making it a time of true inner and outer
purification. Prakriti Pravah was not just a theme but a lived experience, inspiring participants to
embrace the effortless flow of nature, mindfulness, and devotion in their everyday lives.
