Why the wild
Every asana began as an observation of a living creature — the cat, the cobra, the
eagle, the tree holding its ground in wind. Somewhere between then and your last studio
class, yoga moved indoors. VANAYOGA moves it back out — onto grass still wet with
morning, under a forest canopy, at the pace the practice was actually designed
for.
“You don't perform yoga here. You remember it — the way your body already
half-knows a language it hasn't spoken in years.”
Sessions built from the forest
Four signature formats, each drawn from Sense22's own wild-yoga philosophy — practiced nowhere else
but here.
Pashavat Dharana
A concentration practice modelled on animal stillness — the poised attention of a deer
before it moves. Held outdoors, eyes open to the tree line.
Vana Pranayama
Forest breathwork, timed to the air itself — cooler, denser, greener than any studio's. Breath ratios adapted for altitude, humidity and canopy shade.
Pashu Asana Lab
An exploratory asana session, not a sequence — reverse-engineering postures from the animals they're named after, on open lawn, barefoot.
Forest Nidra
Yoga nidra under open sky, cricket-song standing in for a guided soundtrack. Most guests don't remember the ending. That's the point.
